Powerful multi-dimensional enhancement! Advantech’s new GENE-ADP6

The GENE-ADP6 is the latest addition to Advantech’s 3.5-inch embedded single board series with multi-dimensional performance enhancements to provide superior solutions for more complex markets.

With significant upgrades in scalability, visual display options and enhanced security features, the GENE-ADP6 is able to take full advantage of the new 12th generation Intel Core/ Celeron CPU (codenamed Alder Lake-P) and is well suited for edge computing, digital signage and machine vision applications. In addition, the GENE-ADP6 supports DDR5 4800MHz for 50% faster data transfer, and features a newer, more efficient power management architecture.

New Hybrid Architecture

Enhanced CPU performance

Powered by 12th generation Intel Core/Celeron CPUs, GENE-ADP6 processors feature a hybrid platform architecture with up to 12 cores and 16 threads, delivering a 15% increase in CPU performance compared to previous generations. Combined with the energy efficiency of Intel’s 7-processing process, the performance per watt is increased by 10% to 15% compared to the previous generation of processors.

In addition to such an energy-efficient CPU, Intel Deep Learning Boost AI gas pedal provides powerful inference capabilities to GENE-ADP6, making it well suited for 5G and AI edge computing.

Through powerful scalability

Support for 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi and high-speed storage

The GENE-ADP6 has dynamic expansion options with M.2 2280 slots for high-speed storage and supports up to 64GB of system memory via dual-channel DDR5 SODIMMs.

M.2 3052/3042 and M.2 2230 modules for 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi are also supported to enhance application connectivity. In addition, the board’s FPC expansion slots offer high performance PCIe x4 (Gen 4) speeds. This also provides users with the flexibility to expand the board with additional PCIe x4 slots, ideal for machine vision, smart retail and industrial automation applications.

This small and compact motherboard with diverse scalability provides versatility and high performance solutions for applications ranging from smart retail to industrial automation.

Flexible I/O

HDMI 2.1 interface with multi-vision display support

The GENE-ADP6 supports dual-channel DDR5 DIMM memory, providing an incredible 50% bandwidth increase and power reduction, enabling faster processing of more data while maintaining energy efficiency.

With HDMI 2.1 ports with up to 8K resolution, three USB 3.2 slots, one USB Type C port and four USB 2.0 slots, and an Intel Iris Xe Graphics display interface for four independent displays, combined with these rich I/Os, the GENE-ADP6 provides customers with an elite digital signage and machine vision solutions.
