LED display fault handling process

The LED display is composed of one piece of display unit board, and the signal is transmitted through flat cable. the troubleshooting and diagnosis process of LED display is as follows.

First, determine whether the LED display is a synchronous display or an asynchronous display. The synchronous display depends on the monitor settings, and the asynchronous display does not depend on the monitor settings.

Second, determine whether the LED display is a local display problem or the whole screen display are problems. When the local display is not normal, communication problems can be ruled out, it can usually be determined that the LED display hardware is faulty: when the whole screen display is not normal, the possible causes are.

● For synchronous display, you should check whether the setting of the display is changed, whether the communication is normal, whether the transmission is normal, and then check whether the reception is normal;

● For asynchronous display, you should first confirm the parameters of the display, such as whether the hardware address, width, height, and P have changed, and if these parameters are correct, then test whether the communication is normal, and finally determine whether the LED display control is normal.

Basic repair steps

(1) Determine the type of HUB board used for the module or unit board, so that the interface definition of the platoon can be the same, in order to look down.

(2) According to the different models of modules or unit boards, send the corresponding program to the receiving card to ensure that the modules and unit boards are displayed under the correct program, which is a prerequisite for finding the cause of the failure. Generally, the PCB will be printed with the model number of the module or unit board to make it easier to find.

(3) Observe the module or unit board phenomenon to determine the initial fault, such as common string points, small squares, etc.

(4) Use a multimeter to find out the fault, mainly using the above short-circuit detection method between the chip and the pins of the LEDs.

(5) If the problem is not solved, the cause of the failure should be analyzed again and the necessary tests should be performed.
