How to distinguish the use and function of the wire by different wire colors

01 Marking circuits based on wire color

①Black wires are used for the internal wiring of devices and equipment.

②The brown wire is used for the positive terminal of the DC circuit

③ red wire for the C-phase of a three-phase circuit; the collector of a semiconductor triode; the cathode of a semiconductor diode, rectifier diode or thyristor

④The yellow wire is used for the A-phase of the three-phase circuit; the base of the semiconductor triode; and the control poles of the thyristor and the thyristor

⑤ The green wire is used for phase B of the three-phase circuit.

⑥The blue wire is used for the negative terminal of a DC circuit; the emitter of a semiconductor triode; and the anode of a semiconductor diode, rectifier diode or thyristor.

⑦The light blue wire is used for the zero or neutral wire of a three-phase circuit; the grounded neutral wire of a DC circuit.

⑧White wire is used for the main electrode of the thyristor; semiconductor circuits without specified color.

⑨ yellow and green two-color wire for (each color is about 15-100 mm wide alternately affixed) grounding wire for safety.

⑩Red and black parallel are used for AC circuits connected using two-core conductors or two stranded wires.

02 When choosing the wire color according to the circuit

① AC three-phase circuit

Phase A: yellow; Phase B: green; Phase C: red; zero or neutral wire: light blue; ground wire for safety: yellow and green double color.

② AC circuits connected with two-core wires or two stranded wires: red and black in parallel.

③DC circuit

Positive: brown; negative: blue; grounded center line: light blue.

④Semiconductor circuit

The collector of semiconductor triode: red; base: yellow; emitter: blue.

Anode of semiconductor diode and rectifier diode: blue; cathode: red

Anode of thyristor: blue; control electrode: yellow; cathode: red.

Control electrode of bi-directional SCR: yellow; main electrode: white.

⑤ Internal wiring of the entire device and equipment

General recommendation: black; semiconductor circuits: white.

When there is confusion: other colors than the specified color are allowed to be selected (e.g., orange, purple, gray, green-blue, rose red, etc.).
