What is ULED technology

ULED can be said to be an LED upgrade concept, U means Ultra, that is, higher and better LED. the full name of ULED technology is Ultra-LED, the ultimate super light-emitting diode (or multi-partitioned cloth light-emitting diode independently controlled).

The initial phase of ULED technology development was supported by the National Development and Reform Commission project entitled “R&D and industrialization of LED backlight and its key materials for liquid crystal display”, which was also supported by the 2014 Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Professional (Medical) Display Module Key Technology R&D and Industrialization Innovation Major Special Project.

ULED this technology has more than 170 patents, through the backlight multi-partition dynamic control technology, peak brightness control technology and backlight scanning control technology, at a lower cost to the LCD screen display picture quality effect to a higher level.

ULED digital optical uniformity technology adjusts module backlight and LCD molecular deflection to reduce the difference in optical brightness of adjacent LEDs and achieve gradual and uniform transition, and its grayscale response deviation rate is less than 3%, which is less than the international medical display grayscale response deviation rate of 15% (medical requires the highest accuracy of grayscale performance).

ULED has a dramatic improvement over traditional LED displays in terms of picture color gamut, contrast ratio, and response

speed.

High color gamut

ULED uses blue chips to excite red and green phosphors or quantum dots. Through the study of hundreds of LED backlight spectra and the spectral distribution of dozens of color filters, a set of simulation models for the color gamut of liquid crystal modules is established and optimized by thousands of sets of experimental data to design the best color filters and high color gamut LED backlight spectra.

ULED also adopts narrow spectrum high color gamut technology to make the RGB three primary colors more pure, and its accurate color reproduction technology can perform adaptive color processing on the screen to guarantee the image color detail expressiveness and accurate reproduction.

At the same time, ULED will be divided into multiple independent control units, according to each frame of the image of the light and dark distribution can be precisely adjusted to the corresponding backlight area brightness, coupled with adaptive peak brightness enhancement technology and dark field image detail enhancement technology, and module drive technology to adjust the analog voltage of the LCD driver and 14bit image processing technology can make the image level more rich, clearer transition.
