Tinker for Change hits the headlines!

We would like to extend special recognition to one of our recent BEEAM graduates! Faith Rounds has been featured in the news for her excellent work utilizing her love of STEM+C to create social change in locally!

Tinker for Change is a student-organized, week-long, and equity-focused virtual exploratorium for rising 9th graders and CRLS students interested in learning how to use programming as a tool to work towards social change. During this event, participants will get the chance to learn about civic engagement-focused student organizations at CRLS (Black Student Union, Student Government, #HerVote, Club 4, etc), CS courses and activities at CRLS, all while picking up new programming and design thinking skills. Through participating in Zoom “office hour” sessions, participants would be able to receive personalized feedback from mentors. Students with no programming experiences are welcome to join!
