02 Screen Resolution

A display panel with a screen ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of 2K (25601440). Horizontally, this display panel has 2560 pixels, and vertically, it has 1440 pixels. The total number of pixels is 25601440=3686400.

Similarly, a display panel with 4K resolution (3840*2160) has 3840 pixels in the horizontal direction and 2160 pixels in the vertical direction. The total number of pixels is 8294400.

It is important to note that the resolution parameter does not change with the screen size. So, the higher the resolution, the more pixels the panel has, given the same screen size. The finer the picture and the better the display quality.

Color gamut: The current mainstream color gamut standards are sRGB, AdobeRGB and NTSC. sRGB color gamut was developed by Microsoft and HP, it is the most widely applicable, and most digital devices currently support sRGB display; NTSC has the most extensive color coverage, and it is a standard based on the broadcast television transmission protocol. The higher the color gamut value, the richer the color representation will be. Displays with high color gamut generally have to achieve 100% sRGB or 72% NTSC color gamut coverage.

DeltaE: It refers to the deviation value of the display panel color from the standard color, which can also be written as △E. This value can be improved by color calibration, but it will be affected by the hardware quality. Generally speaking, when the average △E value is less than 3.2, the human eye basically can not distinguish the difference in color.
